Celebrating Our 50th Blog Milestone – A Letter From The President & CEO

“The first thing you need to decide when you build your blog is what you want to accomplish with it, and what it can do if successful.” – Ron Dawson, Special Educational Needs Psychologist

Hey there,

This is our 50th blog and I am truly excited!

Infact, each GORISCAN is excited that we have achieved this milestone. That’s 50 informative, helpful articles out here for you to read, be aware of, gain knowledge and share with others!

Let me tell you about our blog journey below.

1. Why did we start writing blogs? Is there an audience for them?

We started with memes and then moved towards blogging in an attempt to raise awareness on day-to-day compliance requirements and how we – Gorisco can help you fulfil them. Our blogs are basically short reads (2 to 3 mins) on security, resilience, governance, compliance, risk, etc.

Our audience are people who are interested in learning more on how to go about implementing and maturing the above domains in an organization.

Our main objectives of blogging are to:

  • Raise awareness on specific and real-life issues or problems that can snowball into a significant problem

  • Provide directions to find solutions for preventing the issues or recover quickly from them

As long as we stay consistent with the focus on helping our readers, they will see value in our posts and keep returning to read them.

2. Who are our bloggers?

Our bloggers include not only our inhouse talents, but also external invitees who are subject matter experts. Every now and then, we invite masters of various domains to tell us something interesting on our subject of interest.

Read one such article here which was written by a guest expert.

3. How does blogging help?

Our blogs are a win-win for both the writer and the readers. We aim to raise awareness on what and how Gorisco can contribute in an organization’s journey in their GRC initiatives, and our readers get their trusted partners they are looking for. At the end of the day, every bit of information we share helps Gorisco build trust and relationship with our readers. When our readers know that our articles are top notch in quality, they expect our product and services to be top notch as well. And believe us, we have been proving the same over and over again through our knowledge and projects.

4. And finally, The Process

Before writing our blogs, we ask the following 5 question to ourselves:

  1. Is the topic relevant in today's context?

  2. How will the blog raise awareness and knowledge of our readers?

  3. What takeaways would the readers derive from the blogs?

  4. What does our experience say?

  5. How can we guide the readers to think in the right direction in quest for finding the solution to their problems?

While writing any blog, we try to answer all the above 5 questions which help us in designing or tweaking the content of our blogs. Clarity is the catalyst here and we ensure that. Our blogs cover a wide range of specific questions around a central topic for each of which Gorisco has the solutions to provide.

To let our readers have a quality content, we do research on the respective topics though various channels and knowledge bases. Our blog contents go through multiple reviews and sanity checks which include quality and potential copyright issues.

We hope you like our blogs and continue to be connected with us. Read more of our blogs here.

Any feedback from you would help us further improve our blogs and would be much appreciated.

Happy Reading! Happy Learning!

Assuring you always…
